Portraits

Throughout the rest of the site, you may find that my ablities are not limited. The same is true for my portraiture. I am willing to try to meet the desires of any client. Whether you would like a traditional, frontal portrait or an expansive and more dynamic playful portrait which captures more personality, my abilities can accommodate nearly anyone's visions or desires. You may find that my painstaking attention to detail enables me to render the most ornate apparel such as a bridal gown.

Procedure:

• Your satisfaction is guaranteed to the best of my abilities. I will allow you to view what I consider to be the complete work, and if you have some minor adjustment suggestions, I will make any reasonable accomodations.
• My work is done primarily from photographs. (It is uncomfortable to sit still long enough to be painted) If you do not already have a photograph to use I will pay for one photo session with Ann Bradshaw of Say Cheeez Photography for the client/clients only. Once you have an idea of what you would like in regards to a general background and/or foreground, I will contact Ann so that an appointment may be set for a photo session.
• I enjoy offering close personal service with excellent communication.
• After I receive the photograph or photographs (I use a computer program that allows me to manipulate the image/images so that I may be able to make adjustments that you desire for the painting) that you would like for me to use, I will send the final preliminary composition for your evaluation.
• Once you are satisfied with the composition I will begin the painting process. Throughout the painting process I will send images to you so that you can add your input and make suggestions. I gladly accept suggestions; this work is for you to cherish for the rest of your life.
• You will never get an unpleasant surprise. With constant communication, you will know exactly what you are getting before paying.
• If you have a specific date for which the painting must be complete, I will do my best to work with you to ensure that the painting is finished to accommodate your personal needs.

Additional pricing information

All work requires a $100 deposit to begin the process. This cost is deducted from the final payment once the painting is complete.

All prices and sizes are subject to change dependant upon individual needs. This pricing table exists to give you a general idea of how much you might expect to pay for an approximate size that may work for your desired artwork.

Prices also may vary dependant upon the detail that may exist on ornate clothing or a desired background/foreground, and also on your choice of materials used. Oil paints are recommended for a more natural look. If you prefer acrylics you can expect a lower price.

Framing of portraits is available upon request, with a relatively large selection and reasonable pricing.

Pen and Ink Houses

My home portraits have been in great demand. In so far, all of my commissioned home portraits have been composed with either pen and ink or primacolor pencil. Although, these are not my home portrait mediums exclusively. I am willing to work with oil or acrylic paint as well.
